Hunter loves "choo-choos" so we planned to take Hunter on a train ride in Strasburg, PA (about an hour from our place). Amazingly when we decided on a date to visit Strasburg, we discovered a special visitor was in town at the same time -- Thomas the Train! And just a week before the big day, Hunter received "A Day Out with Thomas" t-shirt in a bag of hand-me-downs from a family at church.
The day out with Thomas was a lot of fun. And Hunter was a great trooper, waiting patiently in all of the various lines we stood in (several other activities and rides to go on, besides the big cho0-choo). I'm so glad we arrived early and managed a parking spot under a big shade tree - perfect for our "tail gate picnic". The weather was picture perfect -- not too humid, a slight breeze, a few fluffy clouds in a beautiful blue sky.

Another train ride!

Hunter standing next to Sir Topham Hatt. He wasn't too sure about this guy... but as long as he didn't move or touch Hunter, he was fine! And after the long line to see Sir Topham Hatt, Bert was glad to see it wasn't just a cardboard cut-out of the guy...
Wiped out from the big day out! :-)

This looks like a ton of fun! Hunter looked like he was having a blast. So did Bert. I love the photo at the end of Hunter passed out. That pretty much sums up the day I am sure.
