Here's little "chef Hunter" in Grandma Koebnick's kitchen. We toasted some walnuts and ground them in the food processor - Hunter's favorite new kitchen tool! Then mixed the rest of the ingredients together for the fossil cookies dough.
Once the dough was done, we formed balls, flattened, and used floured-covered plastic bugs to make the impressions.

Hunter decided he was done making fossil cookies, and went outside to help Grandpa Koebnick.
