On Saturday, April 25, the auction was held on Skylight Drive. I love auctions and have been to many, but this one was different... knowing the people and the belongings of the auction is a strange feeling. It was a day of mixed emotions. Bert's cousins were telling stories about their memories at Grandma and Grandpa's house.... the house that Grandpa Leicht built. I can't even image what was going through Grandma Leicht's mind during the auction. The house sold, which was a big relief for the family, not having to worry about the upkeep of it and all.

Four of the grand-kids decided to climb up in the tree for one last time..... a couple of Bert's cousins climbed up, and then Bert decided to be smart about it - he got the ladder out! That way a few of the great-grandchilden (David, Hunter and Olivia) could join in the fun, too. Olivia was content staying on the ladder.
